da vinci gourmet - hands of an artist
Da Vinci Gourmet is a brand that is largely unknown by the likes of you and me. But those who know, clearly are at the top of their game.
The world’s best baristas and mixologists have long used the brands unique line of beverage syrups and sauces to their coffee and cocktail concoctions to the next level.
The brand wanted to create a film that celebrated those artists in the know. In writing this film, I was largely inspired by the final chapter of the book “No Reservations” written by Anthony Bourdain. He writes about the effects of decades of toiling away in the kitchen on his hands. Of how the mark of a true artist is one whose hands have been beaten down and have had stories laid in them formed by wrinkles, callouses, and scars.
That is how this piece of slam poetry about an artist’s hands was born.
